A Month of Romance, Mystery, and a Brand-New Listening Experience
February has arrived, and with it comes one of our most beloved traditions, exciting programming updates, and a major new addition to the WOTR Radio Network lineup. Whether you’re a longtime listener or just discovering the magic of classic radio, this month is packed with reasons to tune in.
❤️ The Annual Jack Benny Valentine’s Day Marathon
It wouldn’t be February at WOTR without our yearly tribute to the man who stayed “39” forever. The Jack Benny Valentine’s Day Marathon returns with a full day of laughter, charm, and classic Benny timing.
This year’s marathon goes beyond The Jack Benny Program itself. We’re featuring:
Guest appearances where Jack steals the spotlight on other comedy shows
Dramatic turns, including his unforgettable performances on Suspense
Rare gems that showcase Benny’s versatility far beyond his trademark stinginess
Whether you’re a die-hard fan or discovering Jack for the first time, this marathon is the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day with someone who always delivers a smile.

📅 A New Daily Schedule for Old Time Radio USA
We’ve been hard at work reshaping the listening experience across the WOTR Radio Network, and February marks the rollout of our brand‑new daily schedule on Old Time Radio USA.
Each day is now organized into genre blocks, giving listeners a smooth, curated journey through the Golden Age of Radio:
This structure varies throughout the week, offering consistency, variety, and a clear rhythm for fans who love settling into their favorite genres at the same time each day.
We’ll be posting the full weekly schedules on the WOTR Radio Network website soon — complete with show lists, featured episodes, and special programming notes.
🌙 Introducing: Himan Brown’s Mystery Theater
One of the most exciting additions to the network this month is the arrival of Himan Brown’s Mystery Theater, the National Public Radio reboot of the legendary CBS Radio Mystery Theater.
Unlike the original series hosted by E.G. Marshall, this NPR version features Himan Brown himself stepping behind the microphone. Using the same scripts and introductions that Marshall once delivered, Brown brings his own voice, cadence, and personality to the material — creating a fascinating alternate take on the classic series.
Out of the 150+ episodes produced for the NPR run, over 130 episodes survive today, and we’re proud to air them nightly from midnight to 6am ET on Old Time Radio USA as part of our new overnight block.
It’s a rare chance to experience Mystery Theater in a form many listeners have never heard before.
